Things never stand still (or even slow down) in Computer Science. Alan Kay contends that "the computer revolution hasn't happened yet", and challenges us to make it happen in the best possible way.

This year we will be introducing a number of new technologies into the program. AP CSC and Computer Science (programming) students will be using moodle, and our new Intro to IT course will be using the CanDo competency tracking program written by current and former APS students with the help of professional programmers (one of whom is a former APS student). We have a new SmartBoard in class, and we are planning projects for the OLPC.

You will already find examples of student work and projects, and you will soon find the class materials and assignments we use here at Yorktown in our Computer Science program. So enjoy your visit and come back often. There are exciting things going on in Computer Science at Yorktown!
